Our young generation should not be strangled with overwhelming debt upon receiving a college or post-graduate degree. Their future should be filled with hope, exploration and excitement. Instead economists wonder if this trillion dollar debt shouldered by student/parent borrowers may be the next housing crisis. Economists realize that carrying such debt delays marriage, having children and buying a first home. All of these factors affect the entire American economy.
